Rupert West Quebec: Megastir announced today that he is an extremely selfish person.

At a small gathering on the edge of a large town in the heart of a huge province in the second biggest country on the third planet from the sun in the middle of an immense galaxy known as the Milky way, Megastir the empathetic webmaster and Bobby Orr look-a-like announced to hardly a caring soul that he spent most of his time thinking of himself.

"Yes it's true" said the mysterious straw hatted one. "I have lived on this planet for more than thirty years now and I cannot think of one time in which I bothered empathizing with some one else's feelings."

"Oh sure I've met people who I pretended to care about but in fact it was all a ruse." The press seemed shocked by the announcement. " I use a technique I like to call listening. After engaging a subject in conversation I begin to ask questions designed to allow the subject the freedom to elaborate on their feelings and situations in life. However once my conversational partner begins to vent I am able to continue with a series of nods, hugs and occasional eye contact. However all the while I am either plotting a way to get this person into bed, fleece them out of their bank accounts or use them as a stepping stone in my quest for greater power."

Incredibly at this point the press began to toss foul vegetables and empty beer bottles at the podium. Ducking the volleys Megastir continued.

"I began this listening because I had a great desire for Sex Money and Power. For a long time it worked. Now though I have bedded many beautiful women achieved wealth beyond my wildest dreams and clawed my way up several ladders of power. Yet I am still an empty vassal. I share this with the world because I no longer want to bear the burden of listening any longer. All the mind numbing babbling and ridiculous small talk that is made during conversation is effectively stopping me from concentrating on the things I find most interesting. Namely me."

"I will no longer bother speaking with people who I consider dim bulbs. That means all you people. I will now spend my time in my refuge from the world of morons at my luxury chalet deep in the frozen northeastern woods. Up there I will periodically consider the use of the words 'that' and 'which' in sentence structure. I will then utilize the international network of linked computers to publish my thoughts onto a ego maniacal weblog which I will justly call the megablog "

With that he was gone. Which brings us to the end of this press release.
