He was building the biggest baddest 4wd van I'd ever seen.

He was nervous, on account of the siege at Da Nang.

He wore ear plugs.

all the time

He lived in a cinder block shack behind World Gym in Waikiki.

He told me If I ever snuck up on him he'd kill me

just out of reflex

But i bought the 76 Firebird from him for $200

He wasn't one of those draft dodgers
He did his time

and suffered for it.
