The St Lawerence is one of the biggest rivers in the world. When the north east winds blow you better be ready for some seriously heavy conditions.
Falling tide against those NE winds makes for 5-15 ft ramps.

This place can make the gorge seem tame by comparison.
That's why the french guys who sail here are some of the best sailors in the world.
It doesn't get much coverage outside Quebec, but I'd say if you can rip it up here in the cold. You can sail anywhere
