Megastir announces dis-satisfaction!
Megastir announced today to a small but highly influential group of global scribes that he is displeased with his blogging efforts as of late.
“I have not been happy with my posts as of late” he commented. “Even though I began this blog with the sole intention of providing a web page that featured dark text on a light background, I quickly realized this medium could provide so much more”
He paused and slowly scanned the crowd careful to look each transfixed reporter directly in the eye, then continued.
“I have a dream! A dream that we as web scribblers should communicate ideas and stories that are so amusing that they make you want to run home and slap your grandma.”
At this the crowd chuckled.
“I shall go on to the end, I shall post in France, I shall post on the seas and oceans, I shall post with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, I shall defend my Web-pages, whatever the cost may be, I shall post on the beaches, I shall post on the landing grounds, I shall post in the fields and in the streets, I shall post in the hills; I shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this so-called web-log or a large part of it was never linked or noticed, then my Grandma would not be slapped, armed and guarded as she has been by a lack of amusing posts. Then my descendants would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the Next generation, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the slapping of the old battle-axe would begin.”
He then wiped the sweat from his brow and roared.
“I shall never surrender!”
With that he leaped from the podium, hopped into a pimped 64 Baja bug and blazed into the sunset.
