Just to say:

The internet has induced a weird kind of world.

One in which the world outside is previewed through a box of wires and melted metal.

Then,

If it looks promising, step through the door.

But, and this is a big but.

Don’t for a second forget that the preview you have seen is not what will actually occur.

It’s just a simulation of what might occur.

And the fact is that no matter how powerful the algorithms, no sim will ever correspond exactly to reality.

So many little variables can change the unfolding.

Fortune favours the bold

Resist the urge to run a sim

Alas though, for me

Resistance has proved futile.

I hate that.
