I am a sinking vessel, with no freight in me to throw over to lighten ship within.
On the reef with waves dashing at me broadsides.
Only one course of action remains to me, abandon ship.
But what then?
The ship will be missed.
The captain without a ship is not a captain at all but a beachcomber, a vagabound a scourge.
