megastir Mega means big or large stir because I like to mix it up

In the early morning the air is still crisp the slush from yesterday frozen and groomed into perfect corduroy. The first gondola up is usually filled with ski racers or lodge workers or others with an interest in being at the summit long before the spring conditions creep their way up the mountain.

If the sun is our you know that the east facing runs will soften up first. There is something magical about the light this time of day, it holds the promise of achieving dreams. The dream of the perfect run through the slalom course. The dream of hitting the pipe with no crowds or Phat panted DJ's on microphones. The crowds will not arrive till ten, two hours of fast runs and softening snow.

You knew it would like this when you crept across your frozen brown lawn before dawn hopped in your rig and ambled through the Hills listening to Radio Canada en francias. In Montebello you stopped for a croissant and a Cafe and the Grand-maman there said Bon Matin with a huge smile like she has every morning this year.

The day ends when the sun turns the snow into the consistency of a slurpee, even on a snowboard it has become so heavy and your legs so tired it's not really worth the effort, better to chill with the beautiful people at the base and take in the open air concert Wide Mouth Mason.
Grab a Molson and a chair and your Vaurnets, lean back and relax.

Springtime
