Black flies are a biting insect so insidious; they burrow through clothing and hair. Even moose go insane in the springtime.

Up a 5am. Crawl out of your snow laden soggy pathetic woefully inadequate pup tent, put on the same filthy stinking damp clothes bumble to the breakfast tent. Slip down some barely cooked greasy bacon and gooey semi raw eggs. Pound 2 coffee's. Grab a sick jello sandwich for lunch and limp to the broken down fungus van that will take you even deeper into the hell hole that is the Canadian near north.

You are a loser.

You are a tree planter and you had no idea what you got your self into. Your college tuition has ballooned. Student loans due. Your Fucked!

Your losing money not making it. Camp costs are $17 a day and you get paid seven cents a tree. You have to plant 242 trees just to break even. The work is the most back breaking and monotonous work ever. 12-15 hrs a day, 100lbs on your back, soggy underbush, bent half at the waist stabbing those stupid fucking trees you thought you cared about into the world biggest tree farm.

You want to go home but your trapped no rides out and it thousands of kilometers back home where the "I told you so" is waiting.

Then there are those assholes that seem to have every angle figured out.

They brought a used pop up camper to keep them off the semi frozen ground. It has a propane heater. They seem to be able to plant more than 7000 trees each day. That's $500 a day. They do this for 6 weeks straight $21,000 cash.

You've heard stories that they bury stash and dump at least 2000 trees a day but no one can prove it.

Fuck mother nature it's all about the money.

If your misery is so great you need drugs to cope you can buy a gram of hash from them. but the bush price is $40 per. 5 times higher than the city. They'll clear another $15,000 on the 500gms brought up from the city. If the crew doesn't rob them first.
