I have discovered how to put pictures on here.
I hope to distract any readers with this fancy new addition. Since I have not been able to generate any clever stories or half decent posts in the last few days.
I apologize in advance for wasting your time.

Like many families mine has its black sheep. Despite being practically insane myself, I have been helping my certifiably mad Aunt manage her life. Sadly it's a life damaged by mental illness acoholism etc etc but through good fortune, she's kicked most of her demon's and is ensconced in a old folks home in Northern Ontario. She has very few visitors. Most family want no part of her.
She calls and we talk. She gives me lots of familiy history and gossip about long dead family members and I try and understand what the craziness of the past means today. Sometimes I can see a faint light and after these discussions I understand myself better because this is where and what I come from.

Sometimes I feel saddened by the whole thing.

Sometimes I feel strangley uplifted by this relationship.

Sometimes I visit up there and the wind blows on the lake in front of her home and I think man I wish I lived here. No woriies about work and an epic surf spot right out the door. Damn!
