"Don't surf the Jetty"

That was the graffitti as you pulled onto the spit of land called Mission beach. Seems that the characters that call that south mission breakwall home don't like it when outsiders come and surf the peak off the southern tip. Like most surfers though if you can stay out of the way and only pick up waves when your in position and don't drop in you'll be tolerated in the lineup.

I always surfed the jetty. I got some stink eye but no real hassles the graffitti amused me though.

I have seen some other funny graffitti

"Bush is a Nazi"

That was back when it was George Herbert Walker Bush playing at President. I think that was in Oakland. Classic

And the one I saw this morning in Montreal
"Let there be Rot"

I guess some kids take on modern civilization
