So the old man told me how he became a mule in the cocaine trade. "It started slowly when this guy asked if I could run a package up from Miami to Indianapolis for him...... 5 large in it for me. I was young and dumb.

That slowly escalated into 2 trips a week for several years.

Then one day I park the Benzo at Mcdonalds and I am eating on the patio with the radio blaring. I hear my name mentioned along with the the word "warrent for arrest" and "cocaine conspiracy".

Fuck I had 4 kilos in the trunk, I was fucked!

Good thing daddy was a prominent local attorney.

It all came down to the Judge giving me two choices.

The Navy or jail.

I chose the Navy.

Two years at sea on an aircraft carrier.

I saw a guy cut in two by one of those cables that the jets hook up to when they land on the ship.

His legs were still walking even though his upper body had been separated by the snapping cable.

That image haunts me till this day.
