It was called the Full tray stash, or the FTS for short. The unethical tree planters best friend. See, your paid by the tree, each tree you plant = 15 cents plant 5,500 trees in a day that’s an $825 day less camp costs of $25 you clear $800. Not bad for 12 hours of back breaking labour in a mosquito and black fly infested swampy hell. The trees come in trays of 500 seedlings. On the best ground in ideal conditions it is possible to plant a tray an hour but most of the time the weather is foul the ground is a hideous swamp or mountainous tangle of stumps, slash and moss. When you encounter this the unethical tree planter counts on a few FTS’s to keep earning.
Look for a hollow stump or better yet some deep bottomless mud. Upon loading up your bags take two trays to your chosen stash area. Make every indication of loading your bags properly with one tray all the while carefully looking around for any prying eyes. When your sure you are in the clear take the second tray and quickly empty its entire contents into the hollow stump or stomp those annoying 500 seedlings into to the mud. For ever to be gone. Make sure they will never be found add the two empty trays to your count and keep on planting, you’ve just doubled your money baby!
Note to planters this technique only works for true high-ballers who can plant a lot of trees. Since making a few 1000 trees disappear each day is much more obvious if your not covering a lot of ground, be good out there……but be bad as well.
