Tuesday, February 17, 2004 :::
Now, as I flew over the Molokai channel, I caught sight of that beautiful cliff called Diamond head, and could not help contrasting my situation now, with what it was when I first flew there so long ago. Then I never thought of working for my living, and never knew that there were hard hearts in the world; and knew so little of money, that when I bought an American greenback, and laid down a Canadian Loonie, I thought the financier might return some change, only that I might have money to buy something else, but instead he laughed at my funny money and therefore at me by extension. How different my idea of money now!
