Really, does every American own a $50,000 + enormous vehicle? ..... I guess the class of people fortunate and rich enough to ski do.
Heard in parking lot Lake Placid New York "I'm from Joisey...you from Joisey?"
Giant SUV's from Joisey, NYC and Ontario. Frozen boilerplate runs, Alert border guards, $64 US lift tickets. Beautifull Adirondack scenery. Picture postcard chalet set with a view of Whiteface mountain. Great friends, food and fun.
Taking runs down icey eastern slopes one can't help but pause and think, Is this fun? Sliding is normally a great time, skis, snowboards what-ever but the advent of the modern gondola and high speed quad lifts make it much more pleasant to go up than to come down. The slopes are to crowded and combined with brutally icey conditions really make me question the value of downhill skiing.
I think I'd rather play hockey or x-country
scenes from an eastern ski holiday
