Megastir, appearing before the assembled press for the first time in months announced today that he is a hugely conflicted individual. "I am a walking conflict" he said as he stepped up to the podium. Looking tired and disheveled the unfathomable scribe and boy band member look-a-like fidgeted with the microphone, shuffled his feet, danced to the beat... except that there was no beat.... only silence. An uncomfortably long pause ensued then he began.
"When I started this web-site I wanted to create a site where I could be free to write whatever might pop into my head early in the misty north eastern mornings. A tool if you will, Dark text on a light background. It has not worked"
The room was uncomfortably silent while he continued.
"The mornings have not been misty and in fact, it has been downright warm. To warm for mist to form."
The use of mildly amusing rhymes seemed to catch the assembled reporters off guard.
"I need to explain that the ramblings here are no doubt the result of a strange man perhaps obsessed with the romance and adventure that is so sorely missing in his sad pathetic life. In no way should they be taken for other than what they are, that is dark text on a light background"
With this, the crowd's attention began to wander. Megastir mumbled, "However taken, this site will continue. I only hope that if its read by anyone other than the usual porn hungry losers normally associated with the internet, they will allow this most unworthy writer an allowance for memories and thoughts that deeply affected him and will be with him forever"
That being said, the reporters began to fall away from the stage when suddenly the lights went dark and an explosion burst forth from what was the podium. Suddenly arising from beneath the stage was the LA Metal band Motley Crue in all its drug fueled glory. All members back in the fold for this special performance. And as Tommy Lee attacked the drums for a rousing rendition of "Dr Feelgood" Megastir could be seen stooping low into his slammed 72 Ford Gran Torino and peeling off into the inky darkness of his soul.
