So after a week of intensive wakeboarding, water skiing, diving, fishing etc I feel refreshed and ready to tackle the every day world.
Except the world has stood still up here in a no power vortex, even though the power is on, the crisis continue's somehow. Not for me though. West Quebec never loses power. They have it all, Hydro electric lines carrying so much power you can here the lines humm in the morning dew.
During my convalesence I discovered an interesting fact. This is a web log a diary of the foibles and follies of one mans adventures through life. In the olden days a "log" was kept by sea captains to diary their journey. However the word "log" came about because before modern navigation systems a captain who wished to know how fast his ship was sailing would tie a long measured piece of rope to a wooden log and throw it in front of his ship, then time how fast the ship took to sail past it. Thus giving him the ability to calculate ships speed. These calculations were marked down in what was called the "book of the log" hence "log" for short. Cool eh?
