Once upon a time there was a man who lived a very complex life on the mainland.

In order to escape from the complexities of his day to day life this man decided it would be best to divest himself of all material possesions and move far away to the windward side of a small island in the middle of the pacific ocean. His new neighbourhood called Waimanalo was a sleepy place and he set up house in a small shack surronded by palm trees. His life consisted of sleeping reading fishing and diving. He did not miss the busy life he left behind.

However he noticed that quite often in his new neighbourhood it was quite windy. The wind often dislodged coconuts from the palm trees and knocked them on the ground. This was great for the man because they made a delicious treat, "like mana from heaven" he thought. Soon though so many had fallen that he decided to pick them up and place the extra's at the back of his lanai.

So he did. Then he got right back to sleeping reading fishing and diving.

Thing was though, the neighbour also had a problem with the coconuts and after noticing the man cleaning around his shack he asked if the man would like to gather up the coconuts in the yard next door. "Sure" said the man not wanting to appear unfriendly. Because the neighbours yard was so much bigger the neighbour offered the use of a wheelbarrow. The man accepted and spent most of that day and part of the next cleaning up his neighbours yard. The neighbour was pleased and told his friends of the good effort by the man. Pretty soon the man was cleaning coconuts for the whole street. The man decided that a wheelbarrow was no longer enough and he purchased a small pickup truck with the money the neighbours had given him for his work.

It was not long before the man had puchased a dumptruck and was cleaning coconuts for the whole east side of the island. Then before he knew it he had a fleet of trucks a was suddenly the coconut king of all Oahu.

Trouble was the man no longer had time for sleeping reading diving and fishing, he was to busy running his business.

Soon he started dreaming of running away to the mainland where he hoped to find a new quiet life.
