Empathic:

Understanding
Sympathetic
Compassion

Are you empathic? When you're in a situation where others are uncomfortable, does that discomfort rub off on you? Or do you find you misread or could care less about the feeling of others?

It is said that there are physically handicapped people, mentally handicapped people, and emotionally handicapped people. Those with the emotional handicap are sometimes also called autistic.

Autism is very strange. Usually characterized by the inability to relate well to others and a strange fascination or comfort found in systems and numbers.

Perhaps we are all a little bit autistic at times.

Then there are people who are really empathic. They feel others pain too much, to the point where their own health suffers. People like this often have a lot of friends. But maybe they give too much of themselves.

Do these types of people need to live alone?

I have heard it said that selfish people never get cancer.
